Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is known as an Indian actor, known for her starring roles in the films Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! She started her career in the late 1980s, and rose to prominence with her performance in the film Tezaab where she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the film Dil where she co-starred on the screen alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai the city she was born within a middle class family parents. When she was a young stage, she was able to take dance lessons. When she was a teenager She began to act but suffered through a number of years due to the fact that her films at first were unsuccessful. Her fame grew and she became one of India's most prominent film actors. She took a break from her acting career after the wedding before returning into the entertainment business. More recently she played an important role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women within India. Dixit received 15 nominations for Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. In addition, she was awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. She is well-known for her involvement in social work too.
