Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, and all dramatic performances. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for arts and music keeps her involved in a range of different projects. Ana has also been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
